On Thursday we recieved a letter from USCIS here in Milwaukee. A letter that we have been waiting to see since we first got the dreaded letter in July. It was a letter that stated that after reviewing the supplementing information that we sent to them concerning their allegations that Chrislande wasn't a true orphan and questioning the legality of our adoption, they have decided that indeed it was a legal Haitian adoption and that she is a true orphan. So they are sending notification and the supporting paperwork to Port-au-Prince to the American embassy stating that we can proceed. Proceed to obtaining a visa and bringing her finally home. We are hoping and praying that we hear something within the next 2 weeks on her visa. But the way things go, who knows for sure. It least it seems like there is only 1 final hurdle to jump. I just couldn't contain myself yesterday at work, was grinning from ear to ear. Can't wait to let my boss know that I may/will need off shortly to bring our little girl home.
Hope everyone had as great of a day going into the New Year as we did.
Praying for all waiting and that we get the news that she has her visa soon.
