Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was our little girl's 4th birthday. Wow. We really had thought that she wouldv'e been home by now. I am praying that she will be coming home for mother's day, highly unlikely, but could be possible. At any rate, she will come home, the time to be determined yet.
At least when she comes home the weather should be warmer as spring is about to hit this week, we think.
My spring flowers are sprouting up nicely--should see the daffodils next week. Tyler has made the golf team--he just isn't sure if he is varsity or jv. Not bad for his freshman year. Yeah Tyler!
Kaylee struggles in learning the correct way to study for test. She thinks everything needs to be a game for her to learn.
The constant change in weather has caused me to have some serious sinus problems going on. Will see how things go tomorrow on whether I will need to go and get an antibiotic.
Work is getting busier again this week before Easter. Due to a mix up with the warehouse, we didn't get the hershey candies that we usually sell, thus, sell-thru is doing great.
Next weekend is the girl scout mom and me weekend for Kaylee and I. Should be interesting, us old ladies with our 3rd graders.

Delays

Well, we thought back in Sept. that it would only be a matter of time before Chrislande was home. It seemed like everything was finally going smoothly. Then it started again, the birthparent interview was delayed from October, to the end of November. That seemed to go well, then they needed some corrections on some of her paperwork. That was corrected and received back the end of December. Then the unforseen happened, they asked for a DNA test of Chrislande and her dad. This was done in February, and the results were not good. They say that the man that has been visiting her often these last almost 4 years was apparently not her dad. She looks like him, so it is very hard to think that this is not her dad. Now we are needing to get statements from her family members and from us also to present to the embassy. That is where we are at now. We are shooting now, instead of having her home for her 4th birthday on April 5, to Mother's Day. Kaylee just doesn't understand why her sister isn't home yet. It gets very hard to have to tell her that we haven't had any email's at all. She doesn't understand what is going on, I guess we don't either. Everyday, I tell her that at school, that she needs to say extra prayers during church, for his help in finding a way to have her finally come home.
Please help us pray so that she can finally come home to her family that has been praying and working so hard to get her home.

Nearing the end?

We received word last week that our file is out MOI and that we have Chrislandes passport.
We are scrambling to get the last of our paperwork down to Haiti and to put more pressure on to find out what is going on with our I600. Apparently it is approved, but we have no proof of this.
Hopefully we will hear something real soon on this.
B and I went to have our fingerprints redone as they expire this month. We went on our wedding anniversary none the less.
This past weekend, with the news that she could be coming home soon, we spent it moving around the bedrooms of T and K. T moved downstairs into my computer room, K and C will be sharing what was T's old room and now my computer room takes over K's old room.
This will also double as our guest room as we have a daybed in there also. Good thing I took some vacation after my inventory at work so that I could work on this unexpected, but pleasant project. We will continue to pray that all the paperwork falls into place and we have her home in October. Time to get K in and into the bathtub as night is falling. T is at boyscouts and B is taking a GPS course so that he can learn to use his handheld.
Tupperware party next week to get the house ready for along with Grandparents day that my parents are coming over for. They always look forward to that. They will be bringing over a box spring that we will be getting from my brother for the second bed. For some reason we only have the mattress, not a box spring. They may be bringing over his truck and picking up the fence that we took down to bring over to him as he wants it for his dogs and new back yard.

Praying for more positive news soon!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone. Here is the latest picture of Chrislande that we just got. What a great present, although finding out that we are out of IBESR would be an even greater present. We are praying that this will still hold true. Everything is very hectic, as I work in retail and this is the our busiest time of the year. This last week is especially stressful. You would think after doing this for the last 30 years that I would be use to it, but it is something that you never get use to it. I only have to find time to wrap, which I am praying will happen this weekend when Bruce takes the kids to a movie on Sunday afternoon during the afternoon.
Wishing all a blessed holiday season and a happy new year.

October Picture

Here is an updated photo of our Chrislande. She is really starting to smile more in the pictures. We are still working on a middle name for her. We can't figure anything out that flows well with Chislande. I think Marie, but the others don't feel that is her. Went shopping again and found some more skirts and shirts on clearance for her. We recieved a picture this week of her with her father and aunt. I sure hope that when I go to pick her up I am able to meet them both. I like that they are still in her life, but hope that she doesn't become confused with it. We have been trying to gauge how big she is in the photo, as she is standing between the 2 of them. We are not sure of their height's to determine her height.

We have been in IBSER for almost 3 months now. Am hoping that we hear something soon, as it seems some people have only been in IBSER for 4-5 months max before going onto the next big wait.

Just starting

I am creating this as we begin our adventure to bring Chrislande home from Haiti. We have sent our paperwork down, been there since June 2007 after getting our paperwork all in line as fast as could be. We got our official referral on May 2007 for Chrislande, after seeing her on the COTP website in February. She will be joining a big brother Tyler and a big sister Kaylee. Tyler is our homegrown and Kaylee comes to us from South Korea. We know that we are in for a wait, just as we had a wait for Kaylee (18 months) so we are prepared for this. Right now they are getting Chrislandes paperwork matched up with ours and going thru first legal. I am hoping that we can get into IBSER sometime in August. We will see how that goes.
